The meeting of the members of the Permanent Working Group for the Safety of Journalists with journalists and prosecutors from Belgrade was held in Belgrade on June 13 with the support of the OSCE Mission in Serbia.

The new episode of the series "Press Don't Shoot" discusses the frequent cases in which individuals with concealed faces seize journalists' phones, prohibit them from recording certain parts of the city and events, threaten and insult them, all in the presence of police, who have not reacted to any of these attacks.

As one of the largest socio-political crises in Serbia unfolds, propaganda intensifies, and the right to accurate information becomes increasingly endangered.

A shot at a journalist is not just a shot at a person, but also at freedom of speech. It is a shot at the truth. Endangering the safety of journalists is also an infringement on fundamental human rights, such as the right to timely, accurate, and objective information.

The ANEM series of online video training, presentations, and discussions aimed at improving journalist safety is part of the project by the Association of Independent Electronic Media titled “Building a System for Prevention and Emergency Response in Cases of Threats and Attacks on Journalists in Serbia,” which is supported by the European Union Delegation in the Republic of Serbia.
