JANKOVIC: LAW ON ELECTRONIC COMMUNICATIONS NOT GOOD

Belgrade, July 24, 2010 (Pravda) - Ombudsman Sasa Jankovic referred to the Law on Electronic Communications as yet another controversial law which was opposed by journalists' associations.

Jankovic said that this law violated the privacy of citizens, because it allowed the state services to keep and use databases on each and every citizen. The Ombudsman has announced that he would launch the proceeding on the constitutionality of the law before the Constitutional Court.
