“Guillotine” of media regulation by the end of the year

Belgrade, September 2, 2010 (Danas) - If recommendations from the Media Study are adopted at the public discussion, there will be a need for changing a majority of media related laws and we will therefore propose development of a "guillotine" of regulations in this field", said Deputy Culture Minister in charge of media Natasa Vuckovic-Lesendric, for the Danas daily.

She explained that the Ministry of Culture would also propose economic feasibility study, since it would imply certain costs and revenues.

"I am an optimist and expect we will have the proposal by the end of October, as well as a clear situation in media scene by the end of this year", Vuckovic-Lesendric pointed out.
