State is withdrawing

Kragujevac, June 14, 2011 (Vecernje Novosti) - The core of the Draft Strategy for development of public information system in Serbia for the next five years is the withdrawal of the state from ownership of public media, not later than 18 months from the date of adoption of the Strategy in the Serbian Parliament.

This is the essence of the public debate on development strategy of public information in Serbia until 2016 year, held yesterday in Kragujevac. Dragana Milicevic-Milutinovic, State Secretary in the Ministry of Culture, said the state withdrawal from the ownership in the media implied either privatization or conversion of government property to shares.
