Proposal of the Draft Media Strategy completed

Belgrade, August 17, 2011. (Ministry of Culture, Media and Information Society) - As it had been announced, the Department for the Media of the Ministry of Culture, Media and Information Society completed the text of the Proposal of the Draft Media Strategy.

According to the previous agreement, the Minister has informed the Serbian Prime Minister on this and asked him to establish as soon as possible the Commission that would be consisted of, apart from the representatives of the Department for the Media and telecommunications, representatives of the Serbian Ministry of Finance, Republic Secretariat for Legislature, Serbian EU Integration Office as well as the experts of the European Commission and the working group that prepared the first text of the draft and the Agency for the Protection of Competition that would provide suggestions on the final text of the Proposal.

According to the previous agreement with the Serbian Prime Minister, upon considering the Commission's suggestions, the Minister will present the text at the public hearing in the Serbian National Assembly, before the Government adopts the Strategy.
