Finally the Law on protection of whistleblowers

Belgrade, September 13, 2011 (Alo) - The Ombudsman, Commissioner for Information of Public Importance and Personal Data Protection, Anti-Corruption Agency, Serbian Government Council for fight against corruption and NGO "Transparency Serbia" decided to form a joint working group for drafting the law provisions on protection of "whistleblowers". This regulation is to provide normative conditions for, in this moment, inadequate legal and factual protection of the people who report corruption or other type of illegal behavior against public interest, it was said in Ombudsman statement.
