VUCIC: TV FEE WILL BE ABOLISHED

Belgrade, May 23, 2013 (Tanjug) - The first Deputy Prime Minister of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic said today that the TV subscription fee would be ended, as promised.

"As I have promised to the citizens of Serbia, the TV subscription fee will be abolished, because I am not that type of people who have deceived people for 12 years with marketing tricks", Vucic wrote on his social network profiles Facebook and Twitter.

"This is our duty, which we will not abandon", Vucic added.

According to some media, however, the possibility remains open to keep the radio and TV fee in some form, as the government does not have enough money in its budget for financing of public service.
