FIRST APPLICANT FOR TV AVALA FREQUENCY

Belgrade, July 6, 2013 (Kurir) - The RBA has finally received the first application yesterday for the available national frequency used by TV Avala, the daily Kurir reports.

The RBA has not, however, disclosed the information on the candidate, saying that until the closing date of the competition, none of the RBA Council members would have an insight into the list of candidates. The competition is open until Tuesday, when the applicants would be known, it was said at the RBA.

According to some media reports, one of the most interested candidates for the national frequency is the former director of TV Prva Dejan Jocic, with the project TV Nova. He is considered the most advantaged candidate, since he has "a political support".

Possible candidates for the frequency are also TV Sky Plus, but the Al Jazeera Balkan as well.
