INTERNATIONAL MEDIA CONFERENCE

Belgrade, November 4, 2013 (EurAktiv, Culture and Media Ministry) - The Ministry of Culture and Media, together with the Council of Europe, is organizing International Ministers' Conference on Media "Freedom of Expression and Democracy in Digital Age - Opportunities, Rights, Responsibilities" from November 6 to 8, in Belgrade.
 
The conference of ministers in charge of media and information society of the countries members of Council of Europe will be opened by the Serbian Prime Minister Ivica Dacic and Secretary General of the Council of Europe, Thorbjørn Jagland on Thursday, November 7, at 9 a.m. in the Ivo Andric hall of the Metropol Hotel.
 
The panelists at the conference are the Commissioner for Human Rights of the Council of Europe, UN special rapporteur for promotion and protection of freedom of opinion, OSCE representative for freedom of media and Director General of the European Broadcasting Corporation.
