Courts do not understand media needs
Belgrade, December 11, 2013 (Danas) - Media in Serbia are too sensationalist and oftentimes, they do not pay attention to ethical codes in reporting about judicial topics, while, on the other hand, the judicial system does not understand the media needs and is not accessible enough. This is the conclusion of the gathering "Judicial system and media" held in Belgrade. "Tension in relations between the judicial system and media will always exist and that will never change. I do not see that as a bad thing, since it is precisely due to that tension, that there is a mutual control", the Berlin District Court Chairman, Bjorn Retzlaff estimated.
