RADIO DOES NOT GO DOWN IN HISTORY

Belgrade, 08.10.2010. (Politika) - When television appeared, many forecasted the death of radio. It was "written off" again with the appearance of internet. This media is still moving on toughly though having a future, too. This is the conclusion of the May radio audience research, whose results were presented yesterday in Belgrade "Media Centre".

What proves that sending this media down in history is too early is the fact that 43 percent of around 6000 respondents participating in the IPSOS Strategic Marketing survey has been loyal to its favorite radio station more than two years.

Some arguments in favor of this media' subsistence are that it is not attention demanding and that many listen to it while resting or doing chores. The ground where radio wins the battle against other media is car. Thanks to modern technologies, this media is also available on internet as well as via mobile phones. The audience's basic criteria for choosing a radio frequency are music and informative program.
