U.S. CULTURE ATTACHÉ VISITED RADIO PARACIN

Paracin, February 7, 2011 (Pravda) - Brian Stimmler, press attaché at the U.S. Embassy in Belgrade, visited the Radio Paracin, and other media in Serbia, to informed about the work and problems of the media that operate outside of Belgrade. According to him, the U.S. Embassy has programs to assist the media, primarily through education of journalists and media managers. Stimmler said that the journalists of local media in Serbia professionally did their job, but that the media scene was overwhelmed, and wages in the media outlets were low due to poor financial situation in the country.
