Arilje citizens without TV and Internet
Arilje, February 2, 2011. (Politika) - The Electro-distribution in Arilje disabled the reception of TV and internet signal by disassembling cables of the SBB, national operator of cable TV and internet.
The cable distribution network was set according to the Business Collaboration Agreement that SBB had contracted with the Municipality of Arilje on December 17, 2002.
The Electro-distribution Arilje submitted the official letter on June 21, 2010. and January 14, 2010. to SBB requiring removal of the cables and equipment from poles and warned that, unless SBB did it, the Electro-distribution would remove the equipment. After receiving the letter, SBB answered that cables had been placed according to the Agreement with the Municipality and with the consent of the Electro-distribution and expressed readiness for solving the disputable situation. In spite of it, yesterday in Arilje, the Electro-distribution team disassembled the network of this national operator. Representatives of SBB had the meetings in the Municipality but with no results, because of which other measures for preventing the arbitrariness of the Electro-distribution have been undertaken. SBB submitted an appeal to the Commercial Court in Uzice against the company Elektrosrbija d.o.o. Kraljevo, with the proposal to bring the temporary measure to ban removal of cables. SBB made public apology to the citizens of Arilje because they would not be able, due to the arbitrariness of the Electro-distrubition, to watch TV and use Internet during the weekend and made a promise it would do everything in order the problem to be solved as soon as possible.
