Policeman Spotted Milan Panic's Murderer

JAGODINA, July 22, 2002 - "Glas javnosti" reports that Jagodina police recently questioned a suspect in the Milan Pantic murder case. Pantic was a correspondent with Vecernje novosti. A source close to the police said the suspect was a local criminal, linked with the murder with the help of a description by a policeman who saw the suspect close to the scene of the crime. The policeman also identified the suspect in a line-up at the local police station. However, Jagodina police chief Bozidar Djordjevic rebutted denied the report: “This information is not true even though the police still believe that the solving of this murder is a priority,” he said.
