Draft Law on Access to Information

BELGRADE, July 26, 2002 – The Centre for Improvement of Legal Studies has presented a draft law on citizens’ access to public information. According to the proposal, journalists would have the privilege of free access, while others will have to pay a fee, said Sasa Gajin, the head of the working group responsible for drafting the bill. Vladimir Vodinelic, director of the Centre for Improvement of Legal Studies, said legislation should bring the executive closer to the people.
