Debate on media laws postponed

PODGORICA, August 29, 2002 – At the request of the Serbian People’s Party, the Montenegrin Parliament has postponed its debate on media legislation. The Parliamentary speaker’s office told Beta that the Serbian People’s Party had requested the postponement because of the 250th anniversary of the Moraca Monastery and the religious holiday Velika Gospojina. Parliament will debate the proposed media legislation that was drafted in association with the Council of Europe.
