Resignations at UNS

BELGRADE, August 30, 2002 - Three officials of the Association of Serbian Journalists, Dusan Drazic, Slobodan Bukvic and Vjekoslav Radovic, yesterday resigned, accusing association president Nino Brajovic of "machination and self-will". The officials said Brajovic had turned the association into "a branch of his private company for paper trade" and that he had charged students of the Journalist Academy "thousands of marks for an education program not verified by any authorised institution". Brajovic dismissed the accusations as unfounded, adding that the business of the Association had already been looked at by financial inspectors, "who found nothing" and that he does not deal in "paper trade".
