Dismissal Looms for Radio Cetinje Editor

CETINJE, September 5, 2002 -- Radio Cetinje editor-in-chief Marina Vukovic is to become the latest victim of the shift in power in Montenegro, B92 reports. Speaking as a guest on the station, Liberal Alliance of Montenegro spokesman Slavko Perovic said he would replace Vukovic. “Those are the rules of the game,” he commented. Slavko Mandic was sacked last month as editor-in-chief of Radio Kotor, after the Liberal Alliance and Together for Yugoslavia coalition seized control of the local council in recent elections. Both stations are members of the Association of Independent Electronic Media, which has condemned the dismissals.
