Pink Defies Montenegrin Law

PODGORICA, September 5, 2002 – Montenegro’s Union of Independent Electronic Media has complained to the Ministry of Economy over the granting of twelve frequency licences to TV Pink without a public competition. The Union said it would ask the Ministry to investigate the granting of the licences by the Telecommunications Agency. According to the Union, Pink’s transmissions, which began on Monday is broadcasting illegally because it has not obtained a licence from the Montenegrin Ministry of Information.
