B92 Denies Ownership Accusations

BELGRADE, September 27, 2002 - Radio Television B92 takes exception to an article published on September 25, 2002, in Podgorica daily Publika and extensively quoted in TV Pink’s current affairs programs. The article contains untruths and half-truths aimed at discrediting this company’s management and calling its independent status into question. Radio B92 lawyer Nebojsa Samardzic says that the article publishes information on theft and false investment in order to damage B92’s reputation. These facts are a matter of public record and may be confirmed in the appropriate register. The ownership structure of B92 has always been clear to the authorities and will continue to be so. This is not the case with many other media companies, whose ownership structures remain a mystery to the public, said B92.
