ANEM Protesting Against Removal of TVK Transmitter

BELGRADE, October 10, 2002 - ANEM yesterday protested against the decision by the DOS MP caucus in Kursumlija to remove broadcast equipment of independent Television Kursumlija. DOS MPs made a decision on October 7 after Mayor Dragan Rajevic sent a request to RTS to urgently remove the transmitter of Television Kursumlija since it does not have the broadcast permit. Director of TV Kursumlija Slavko Savic claims that the mayor abused the municipal stamp and that he sent the letter privately, since the document does not exist in the register. He claims that the television did not broadcast the program through RTS equipment, but their own equipment.
