Protest Against Tanjug Journalist Arrest

KOSOVSKA MITROVICA, November 26, 2002 – The Association of Serbian Journalists has protested remarks by Kosovo governor Michael Steiner on the arrest of Tanjug correspondent Bojan Bozovic in the town of Kosovska Mitrovica. Bozovic is on remand in custody, accused of obstructing UNMIK police in the course of their duty. The Association described the action of UNMIK police as a crude violation of the human and professional rights of journalists.
