Arrested Journalist on Hunger Strike

KOSOVSKA MITROVICA, November 23, 2002 – Kosovska Mitrovica journalist Bojan Bozovic, arrested on suspicion of obstructing an UNMIK police officer in the course of his duties has announced he will remain on a hunger strike until he is released from custody. Lawyer Ljubomir Pantovic has lodged an appeal for his client’s release on bail but has still not received a ruling from the court. If the appeal is dismissed, Bozovic may remain in custody for thirty days pending investigation, said his lawyer.
