Tomic Loses Libel Complaint

BELGRADE, December 4, 2002 – The Belgrade District Court yesterday dismissed criminal libel charges against state media journalists Dragana Vasiljevic. The charges were brought by the former director of Jugopetrol and former speaker of the Serbian Parliament, Dragan Tomic. The court ruled that a state media journalist could not be held liable for information provided by state bodies.
