Zoran Mamula Award

BELGRADE, December 21, 2002 – Radio Television B92 has introduced a new award to be presented for outstanding achievements in radio journalism. The award is named for the late B92 journalist Zoran Mamula, who died last December after a short illness. Journalist Emilija Ilic of Radio Pirot beat a field of about twenty nominations from across Serbia with a story on transition in the southern city of Pirot to win the inagural Zoran Mamula Award. She told B92 that her story was about the rehabilitation of members of the former regime.
