Media in Education

BELGRADE, January 29, 2003 – Representatives of the Association of Private Media, and members of the organisation, together with primary and secondary school teachers yesterday established a working group to draft activities for the Press in Education project. Participants in a two-day seminar called for the support of the Education Ministry to make media an integral part of the education system. Seminar participants also discussed options for introducing media in classes on the Constitution and human rights, Serbian language, sociology and other subject. The seminar called for the Education Ministry to financially support the distribution of newspapers and magazines to schools and for publishers to donate unsold copies to schools.
