Journalists Deny Police Claims
BELGRADE, February 7, 2003 – Journalist Jovica Krtinic said yesterday that other journalists would give evidence in proceedings against him for assault of a policeman. Krtinic, a staffer for weekly Reporter, is alleged to have struck a policeman after journalists were refused entry to a Belgrade court last week. Other journalists say he had done nothing to provoke Savski Venac police officer Stanisa Marjanovic, who attacked him.
