Parliamentarians want to be on TV
BELGRADE, 16 May, 2003 -- The RTS cameras were not turned on in the Serbian Parliament yesterday, despite requests by almost all parliamentarians, and the recommendations of the Information Board a day earlier. Many MPs accordingly raised the subject of live broadcasts during yesterday’s session, insisting on an explanation as to why there is no live coverage. In response, Parliamentary Speaker and acting Serbian President Natasa Micic explained that she has sent a letter to all Serbian radio and TV stations, informing them that they are welcome to broadcast parliament sessions using an internal audio-video signal.
