Print industry tax repealed

BELGRADE, 20 June, 2003 – The Serbian Government yesterday confirmed that suggested amendments and additions to the law governing taxation of the print industry have been approved and forwarded to the Serbian Parliament for ratification by urgent procedure. The move, which follows the joint initiative of Serbian PM Zoran Zivkovic and chief editors of the printed media, will see the repeal of state taxation obligations for daily newspapers, periodicals, magazines, printed books, monographs and serial publications.
