TV Apolo ends transmission

NOVI SAD, 21 June, 2003 -- Novi Sad's Television Apolo halted its broadcast on Friday in protest over death threats made to an Apolo journalist by a local businessman. The notice appearing on the channel's broadcast signal reads: "The programme was interrupted at 3pm because of an attack on a T Apolo journalist". TV Apolo has asked the Novi Sad Assembly, its founder, to protect it from such attacks. If no concrete measures are taken, TV Apolo will remain off the air.
