Lecic drops case in act of good will

BELGRADE, 3 July, 2003 – Branislav Lecic, Serbian Culture and Media Minister, has withdrawn his lawsuit filed against NIN journalist Radmila Stankovic. Lecic, a prominent Serbian actor, sued Stankovic two years ago for “releasing false information on his artistic work and alleged abuse of his ministerial post”. Lecic explained that he was dropping the suit in an effort to help alleviate tensions between the government and the media.
