Police confirm arrest of Dan editor

PODGORICA, September 19, 2003 – The head of Kragujevac’s criminal police, Goran Zivkovic, has confirmed for B92 that the editor-in-chief of Podgorica daily Dan, Dusan Jovanovic, was arrested in Montenegro on Wednesday and transferred to the District Prison in Kragujevac. Zivkovic said that police had acted on orders issued by the Kragujevac District Court. Municipal public prosecutor Kosana Radovic told Radio B92 that a request for an investigation of Radovic and another two people suspected of abuse of authority was issued on March 13, 2002.
