Piperovic sues Novosti

PODGORICA, September 17, 2003 – Montenegro’s former deputy state prosecutor, Zoran Piperovic, announced yesterday that he would sue Belgrade daily Vecernje novosti and its director and editor in chief, Manojlo Vukotic, over the publication of testimony by the unidentified key witness in the Montenegrin sex trafficking scandal. The testimony of the Moldovan woman at the centre of the case was published in the company’s paper Arena on September 12. Piperovic, one of the suspects in the case, told Beta agency that he would seek a million euros in damages.
