Unnatural acts

SARAJEVO, October 25, 2003 – Media circles in the Balkans have been astonished by the announcement that the Bosnian branch of trash’n’glitz Serbian broadcaster TV Pink that it is to begin work on a documentary series on the disintegration of Yugoslavia in collaboration with the Helsinki Committee for Human Rights. They are all the more surprised at the announcement that Helsinki Committee director Sonja Biserko will give expert assistance together with Petar Lukovic, Bosnian TV Pink’s program director. The appearance of these two, together with Pink proprietor Zeljko Mitrovic in the same place and espousing a common goal has disgusted the public which is now seeing on their television screens, direct from Sarajevo, a farce which could not have been imagined just a few years ago.
