Court backs Mihajlovic against Kurir and Glas Javnosti

BELGRADE, December 5, 2003 – The district court in Belgrade yesterday ordered dailies Glas Javnosti and Kurir to publish rebuttals issued by Serbian Interior Minister Dusan Mihajlovic. Based on the Serbian Information Act, the dailies are ordered to print Mihajlovic’s replies to texts published on November 2 in which, the charges state, the authors “presented a number of untruths” about Mihajlovic. The lawyer for the two dailies said he would appeal to the Serbian Supreme Court.
