Sacked radio staff hit back

LESKOVAC, BELGRADE, December 8, 2003 – A number of journalists and technicians at the Leskovac-based Staff Radio have complained of unfair dismissal. The radio’s owner, Dobrosav Nesic, accused the employees of “anarchic and irresponsible behaviour”. In their reply, the sacked employees said Nesic of verbally harassing workers, trying to influence editorial policy and to conceal from donors the fact that salaries had been cut.
