Dismissals at RTV Pirot
PIROT, February 4, 2004 – The Coalition for Pirot, which came to power in Pirot in November last year, recently dismissed the management of the public informaton company "Sloboda" and overhauled the editorial policy of a number of RTV Pirot’s most popular programmes. The municipal authorities, comprising the Social Democratic Party and the People’s Party Justice, failed to explain these dismissals to the Sloboda management and, with the help of the Radical Party, appointed several people from the pre-1996/97 authorities to leading positions within this media company.
