Heads roll in Pirot

PIROT, January 29, 2004 – Two editors at the state radio and television stations in Pirot have been dismissed by the management board of the Sloboda public company. At the proposal of newly-appointed Sloboda director Svetlana Matic-Metodijev, the board dismissed TV Pirot editor in chief Dragica Pavlov-Krstic. Radio Pirot editor Emilija Lilic was also dismissed, and replaced by the former editor in chief of weekly Sloboda, Andjelka Mitkovic-Djordjevic. Just prior to the sitting, the management board received a resignation letter from Zoran Panic, editor in chief of the Sloboda paper.
