UNEM: TV PINK TO LOSE LICENSE

PODGORICA, March 21, 2006 – The Montenegrin Association of Independent Electronic Media (UNEM) demanded from the Broadcast Agency to cancel the license of TV Pink in Montenegro. UNEM Managing Board stated that TV Pink had not complied with the propositions of the Montenegrin Broadcast Act, thus failing to meet the deadline of February 18. UNEM maintained that TV Pink had not met any condition provided by the Act. If the Broadcast Council does not seize the license to this television station, UNEM will, as said in the statement, take all necessary measures and appeal to Montenegrin authorities.
