READY TO FACE THE MUSIC

KRAGUJEVAC, April 14, 2006 – Editors of TV Kragujevac called on the OSCE Mission to Serbia and Montenegro to implement the monitoring of the program of this media outlet. The editor-in-chief of TV Kragujevac Ljubisa Obradovic and news editor Ljubica Ristic said that the OSCE Mission to Serbia and Montenegro and the Independent Journalists' Association of Serbia (NUNS) and Journalists' Association of Serbia (UNS) were informed about the difficult position of RTV Kragujevac and frequent political pressures on this media house, asking for their assistance by conducting an analysis of RTK’s program. “We are ready to face all legal and moral consequences if our personal or objective responsibility for systematic and deliberate violation of the Public Information Act and ethical codes of journalism is identified”, said the editors in their statement forwarded to the OSCE Mission and two journalists’ organisations.
