NEW RTS MANAGING BOARD

BELGRADE, April 21, 2006 – Niksa Stipcevic was elected Chairman of Public service broadcaster’s Managing Board. The new managing board held its first session yesterday, appointing Aleksandar Tijanic an acting general manager of the PSB. The conditions for RTS transformation into public service broadcasters of Serbia and Vojvodina have been thus met. The transformation of RTS into two public service broadcasters should be concluded by April 30, in line with the amendments to the Broadcast Act. The Broadcast Agency Council appointed yesterday members of the Public Service Broadcasters’ Managing Board. Beside Stipcevic as chairman, ethnologist Dragomir Antonic, professor Jovan Babic, journalists Slavoljub Djukic and Milica Kuburovic, historian Predrag Markovic, economists Bosko Mijatovic and Dusan Stokanovic and former football player Dusan Savic were elected members of the Managing Board.
