BATTLE FOR BELGRADE FREQUENCIES

BELGRADE, May 13, 2006 – The Broadcast Agency Council continued today the interviews with radio stations competing for program broadcasting on the Belgrade territory. Members of the Broadcast Council interviewed representatives of radio stations Studio B, Hit Radio, Beta Plus, Top FM, Radio Zabac, City Radio and Cricket Radio. The Broadcast Agency will continue interviews with the candidates for the broadcast license after the weekend. The Broadcast Council has approved 40 applications of radio stations competing for 14 radio program licenses on the territory of Belgrade. The Council recently awarded radio and TV stations with the licenses to broadcast on national level. The deadline for broadcasters to complain on decisions of the Council for national frequency expires tomorrow.
