JOURNALIST’S APPARTMENT RANSACKED

BELGRADE, May 18, 2006 – The Journalists' Association of Serbia (UNS) demanded urgent police investigation of the breaking and entering in the apartment of Politika journalist Dragan Vlahovic. In its statement, the association noted that, although no personal values had been taken from journalist’s apartment, there was a reason to believe that the burglars were searching for his documents, writings or simply the deterioration. “UNS urges all relevant bodies and police to reveal the results of the investigation as soon as possible”, said in the statement.
