TV PINK IN CROATIA

ZAGREB, May 30, 2006 – Belgrade-based TV Pink could start broadcasting in Croatia soon. Owner of TV Pink, Zeljko Mitrovic, has sent the offer to buy Croatian Nova TV off for 30 million euros. Mitrovic has not received any response yet, however, the entrance of TV Pink into Croatian media market is allegedly definite. According to Zagreb daily Jutarnji list, TV Pink will visit Croatia next month with the aim to start its production come spring, says Mitrovic. Mitrovic explained his intention to build one or two TV studios. The competition for available positions will be announced after the right location for the studios is chosen, said Mitrovic. According to him, Pink intends to invest 50 million euros in the first three years, while the program will be “adapted to the local politics”. Dijana Tusek, spokesperson of TV Nova, said yesterday she had never heard of such offer before, the Jutarnji list reported.
