BK WANTS COUNCIL DECISION NULLIFIED

BELGRADE, July 3, 2006 (Bet) - BK television officials will submit an initiative to the parliament for nullifying the national frequencies decision. BK TV’s Editor-in-Chief Milomir Marić said that the signatures of 100,000 citizens have been collected from people who “considered BK their television station." Marić said that the Serbian Supreme Court will make a decision in July regarding the abolishment of the competition conducted by the Broadcast Agency Council for the handing out of national frequencies in which BK television was denied the right to broadcast on a national level. Marić said that he also expects the members of the Council to hand in their resignations once the decision is made by the Supreme Court.
