BROADCASTING AGENCY ISSUES BELGRADE LICENCES

BELGRADE, July 5, 2006 (Beta) - The Broadcasting Agency revealed its list of television and radio stations granted frequencies in the Belgrade area. Daily Politika reports that licenses spanning the next eight years have been issue for television stations Art, Enter, SOS kanal, Metropolis, Televizija Plus and TV Studio B. Broadcasting Agency Council has awarded broadcasting permits to the following radio stations: Beta plus, Nostalgija, Naksi radio, Radio MFM, MIP radio, Radio Pink, Radio Studio B, Radio Tri, Sport FM, TDI radio, Top FM, Siti radio, Radio Pingvin and Radio Novosti. 45 radio stations applied for the license, with 100 radio stations currently broadcasting in the Belgrade area. Nine stations applied for television broadcasting licenses. TV Palma and Most were rejected, while a national frequency was issued to Košava earlier.
