ANEM MET WITH THE MINISTRY OF TRADE AND TELECOMMUNICATIONS

At the invitation of the Ministry, ANEM met today in Belgrade with the representatives of the Ministry of Foreign and Domestic Trade and Telecommunications. The meeting focused on the process of digitalization, the current progress of the process and forthcoming goals, as well as the obligations of broadcasters and other actors in the digitization process.

ANEM called on the Ministry to provide, as soon as possible, concrete information on the technical aspects of the process that are important for broadcasters, as well as other important data for the calculation of costs. ANEM particularly emphasized its request for an extension to the broadcasting licenses.

The meeting was also attended by representatives of eight ANEM local and regional TV stations that have significantly contributed to constructive discussion with their active participation.

Further mutual cooperation between Ministry and ANEM in the implementation of the process of the digital television switchover was agreed at the meeting.
