NEWSWEEK AGAIN SOON IN PRINT EDITION
United States, DFecember 5, 2013 (Beta , AP) - U.S. weekly magazine Newsweek will be published again in the print edition in 2014, the new owners IBT Media decided.
Editor in Chief Jim Impoco said that IBT Media wants printed edition of the magazine to be profitable through subscriptions rather than through advertising.
The new owners have not decided the cost of the magazine, but it is expected to be less than $10 per issue.
Newsweek was owned by IAC / InterActiveCorp, which decided 2012 to cancel the print edition because of unprofitability and instead focus on the electronic edition.
Online edition has been sold in the meantime IBT, which owns International Business Times, Medical Daily, and Latin Times.
A large number of magazines in the US was forced in recent years to discontinue their print editions because of the revenues from advertising in these publications has declined significantly .
