MURDOCH GETS GREEN LIGHT FROM EU

12.9.2014 (Beta, RTV) - The European Commission approved today a nine-million dollar plan of the media mogul Rupert Murdoch for founding a pan-European TV network.

The Commission stated that it will allow British TV network BskyB, in whih Murdoch owns 39,5%, to acquire Sky Italy and 57,4% shares in Sky Deutchland, AFP reports.

"The newly formed entity will not raise concern regarding violation of competition as all the three companies are geographically complementary", the Commission said in the statement.
