JOURNALISTS’ BOOK OF RULES OUT OF CONSIDERATION

After the revolt of the profession, the Document on Reporting on Health was rejected

Belgrade, June 1, 2010 (Danas) - The Ministry of Health decided to drop the proposed document for reporting on health care, which stirred the journalistic profession last week. New recommendations on the education of journalists and not their "disciplining", will be drafted by representatives of both journalists' associations, it was concluded on the round table that was held yesterday in the press center of the Journalists' Association of Serbia. Most remarks were addressed to the imposing tone of recommendations, as well as to provisions that were in direct contradiction to the Law on Public Information, the Constitution and regulations of the European Union.
